ActionCamp San Antonio: Mission Driven
Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (CDT)
San Antonio, TX
ActionCamp San Antonio
ActionCamp San Antonio will look to gather non-profits together to help further develop new plans to gain exposure, funding, and marketing opportunities. San Antonio is ripe with activity with the number of technology advancements, business opportunities and start-ups. There is no limit to what our city can do, and by galvanizing this community we can bridge our relationships and make the Alamo City better for everyone.
ActionCamp will offer non-profits the opportunity to re-evaulate their mission and their goals and how they are achieving them. Disucssions on proper grant writing and research will be discussed along with outreach possibilities utilizing new media to remain relevant.
The conference is created by YOU the attendee. By sharing what you know with others, speak solo, create a panel, or just come to gather information.
These are just some of the topics that will be covered at this FREE event:
- development of social technology strategies
- understanding community management
- intro to understanding basics of podcasting - anyone can do it with free tools
- incorporating a brand evangelist into your office culture
- developing relevant messages to share with your community
- grant writing and web 2.0 fundraising ideas
- collaboration, think of yourselves as part of a community, not a single entity
- online ettiquette, it's not what you think
ActionCamp will take place at St. Mary's University inside the Richter Math - Engineering Building. Rooms will be posted at the registration table along with long sheets for users to write the topics they wish to discuss.
Here is the St. Mary's University Campus Map (building 22 on the map).
ActionCamp currently seeks sponsors at $50 per sponsorship. Sponsors will be featured on the badge, on the website with their logo, and any social media mentions put out by the organizers.
If you're interested in helping or know someone who can be part of the "unconference" movement please be sure to contact LUIS SANDOVAL and we'll gladly meet with you to discuss what we can do for the City of San Antonio together!
